Why Join?
Parents, teachers, grandparents, even community members have such a positive influence on our students when they join the PTA. Seeing role models taking time out of their day to be there for them means more to kids than you'll ever know.
With your help we do so much...
- We help fund field trips, school celebrations, library books, classroom supply needs & technology needs
- We've built and continue to fund an amazing outdoor learning environment
- We sponsor family events and teacher appreciation activities
- We help lighten the load of teachers by helping with administrative tasks such as copying, cutting & laminating

Speak Out!
Your PTA membership goes far beyond Tanglewood Elementary School. When you join the PTA, you are part of a national advocacy organization focused on making a difference in the lives of all our students. While the issues are top of mind for us, sometimes they get lost in the bureaucratic craziness in Tallahassee and Washington D.C. In fact, sometimes it takes a friendly call to remind our representatives just what we need them to fight for. Check back to stay informed and involved.
What do we provide?
In recent years the PTA has provided enhancements to the Media Center, playground areas and outdoor classroom. Additionally we have funded special projects involving online curriculum, teacher grants, specials area grants and field trip grants beyond planning numerous fun activities for students and families alike!
